Shaukat Khanum Fitness Fiesta
Shaukat Khanam Hospital is one such organization that has always been a source of pride. The moment a patients enter to the hospital’s premises for cancer treatment till the moment they leave, is worth praising. The hospital not only treats cancer but also tries to give some form of comfort to the patient psychologically who come under immense fear and depression. The only mention of the word cancer is enough to suck the life out of them.
Today SKM arranged a fun filled event for families ‘Shaukat Khanam Fitness Fiesta in Spirit of Giving’. I was impressed to see the friendly volunteers of the event management team and their efficiency is laudable. There was no mismanagement even in presence of huge crowd. It seems that whoever works under the umbrella of SKM learn to treat others with respect and the best of services.
The event’s main attractions were performances by Rahim Pardesi, “The Social Media King”, and Aima Baig Coke Studio melody Queen. Their amazing performances enchanted the audience at the event.
The main idea of organizing the event was to provide some sort of entertainment to the cancer patients, who cannot go out to change their environment. Also the hospital managed to collect charity for hospital funds through the event.
The event was meant for everyone, be it kid or adult. Khalis Food Market and Shapes Health and Fitness Center put interesting stalls to direct the audience towards healthy life. A number of sports and games were arranged like badminton, volley ball, table tennis and X Box gaming zone. The winners of games were given gifts and all the audience were registered for lucky draws.
