INK Thrown on Khawaja Asif in Sialkot

Ink Thrown on Khawaja Asif: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif was addressing Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz workers’ convention this Saturday in Sialkot. An unfortunate incident took place when a man threw ink on Asif’s face during his speech. The man was immediately taken into custody.

Later, Khawaja Asif asked the concerned authorities to release the man, as he had no personal enmity with the culprit. Khawaja Asif was of the view that he must be directed to do this act in return for money by someone else. I must admit his generosity.

Khawaja Asif said, “Thousands of people are still praying for me and throwing ink won’t affect my politics at all,”

The party workers were not happy with Foreign Minister’s directions of releasing the man as ink thrown on Khawaja Asif was a big deal for them. The man was Bilal Haris. He tried to become closer to FM as soon as he reached the location in Aliabad. So far no political affiliation of Bilal Haris is proved with any political party.

Looks like this trend of insulting the politicians by throwing something on them is gaining popularity. Last month it was Ahsan Iqbal hit by shoe in Narowal workers’ convention and now it is Khawaja Asif in Sialkot.

I do not know the other side of story, why Bilal did this. But neutrally, it is something that should be condemned. It is not a decent way to protest against anyone.
