I Wouldn’t be a Bollywood Star Even If There Were No Cross-Border Tensions: Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan is undoubtedly one of those few personalities who has great fan following across the border as well.
She made her debut last year in Bollywood film Raees alongside legendary Shahrukh Khan. Mahira Khan is the first celebrity from Pakistan who is L’Oreal’s ambassador.
During her conversation in UK Asian Film Awards 2018 in London, she shared interesting thoughts about being the biggest star in Bollywood. Mahira was asked about views on the possibility of her being the biggest start if there were no tensions between India and Pakistan. On that she said that she would not be a biggest start even if there were no tensions between two countries.
“Truly, I don’t,” she added, “Not that I would’ve been the biggest star,” she laughed and said, “May be I would’ve done another film with Shah Rukh.

She also expressed her dream about becoming a movie maker and “give happiness a chance”
UK Asian Film Awards 2018 was organized to honor female heroes who have played role in breaking stereotypes to make difference and create awareness. The prominent recipients were Amy Jackson, Jamila Massey, Rahila Gupta and Simi Garewal.
Mahira Khan was given award for her work in “Film and Activism”.
