Cricket On Ice? Yes You Heard It Right! Ice Cricket Challenge 2018 Happening

Is ice cricket challenge 2018 going to be the next big thing?

This cricket challenge is happening in the beautiful Swiss Alps. It is a challenge on ice!

Big names from the world of cricket have  taken part in a T20 match in the Swiss Alps’ resort town St Moritz. With temperatures going below zero degrees, the game of cricket is on fire.

Now image a place with temperatures dipping to zero, a snow covered lake and a mesmerizing scenery.

Virender Sehwag and Shahid Afridi captained the two teams. Mike Hussey and Andrew Symonds from Australia were also part of the action. The Indian star Sehwag hit 5 sixes while scoring 62. Symonds finished with a 40 score. Sehwag’s team finished with 9-164 in 20 overs. 

Owais Shah the former England international cricketer was the match winner who lead  Shahid Afridi’s team to a brilliant win with 5 overs remaining.

Owais Shah scored 74 runs with 34 balls !

Interestingly, the die hard cricket fans would already know, cricket has been played on ice in St Mortiz for more than 25 years! The star studded tournament is a new thing however. The resort’s lake has exceptionally thick ice which can easily endure the ice cricket.
