A Young Girl from Kohat Shot Dead

In another tragic event, a young girl from Kohat shot dead by a man interested in marrying her.

Aasma Rani was a third year MBBS student at Abbottabad Medical college. She was in her hometown, Kohat when Mujahidullah Afreedi fired thrice at her.

The accused is the nephew of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf district president Aftab Alam, who was waiting outside Aasma’s residence.

The incident took place on Sunday when she was getting out of a rickshaw.  She was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, the girl could not survive.

Her family revealed that Mujahidullah wanted to marry their daughter. She was threatened in the past as well.

The accused and his accomplice have not been caught but an FIR has been launched.

In a similar incident last year a school goer Tania was also shot dead over martial matter. She was the resident of Sehwan area.

It is not only tragic but also a violation of basic human rights to force someone into marriage.
